Another trip to London for Ian and me to get the next booster of our Rabies jabs. We chose the intradermal and thankfully there seems no pain involved 🙂
We’ve made a separate appointment for the children to have the start of their series of Rabies and Hep B so we will be going again on Saturday. It’s one way of getting them used to train journeys! They watched us be very brave with our injections last week so having met the nurses and visiting the venue, they should know what to expect. We’ve discussed and agreed on the necessary incentives/rewards/bribes so we’ll be bringing sweeties with us (… not sure whether that make us good parents or bad parents?!) Just got to practice sitting with Orla a few times before we get there.
With such a range of information and advice regarding vaccinations for the various countries we wish to visit, it is easy to be overwhelmed and quite scared. We found the nurse at our local GP fairly helpful and as mentioned before, Nomad have been really lovely with us and we are likely to buy our medical kit through them too. There informtion about vaccinations has been great (Thank you Anna)
http://www.travelindependent.info is an invaluable as a source of information for us to date and is well worth a look.
